Why We Built This

Product Hunt shows launches — but not what happens six months later. Bloomberg covers public markets — but not early-stage products. There was no tool that tracked both the momentum of a new launch and the long-term signal decay (or growth) that followed.

We built Launch Sentinel to fill that gap. The goal is a Bloomberg Terminal for the product layer: dense, precise, and updated continuously.

Whether you're a founder sizing a market, an analyst tracking a category, or an investor doing due diligence on a team's traction history — Launch Sentinel gives you the signal that matters.

Data Methodology

What we publish is what we observe. The primary dataset is an HTTP liveness census: we probe every product's URL on a rolling schedule and record the raw outcome.

Liveness census
Every product URL is probed on a rolling schedule and the raw HTTP outcome is stored. Nothing is inferred — a status is only assigned from a response we actually received.
Death is HTTP-verified
Only 404, 410, 5xx or a parked-domain page counts as dead. A timeout, a Cloudflare challenge or a login wall is recorded as unverified — never as death.
Pulse Index
A composite of the signal families that are present for a product — liveness, press, GitHub and Tranco rank. The number of contributing families is always shown alongside the score.
Update frequency
Probes sweep continuously; the showcase cohort daily and the full catalogue roughly weekly. Ingest and enrichment run on a daily consolidated job.

Coverage is uneven and we say so on the pages themselves: a product with few signal families carries an evidence strip instead of a rank. Nothing here is financial advice, and none of it reflects private funding status or revenue. Full detail on the methodology page.

Team

Built by a small team passionate about product intelligence. We believe the best tools for understanding tech markets are still being built — and this is our contribution to that stack.
